These were introduced under the Localism Act 2011 and are created by local communities. Once they are adopted by us, the Neighbourhood Plans form part of the Development Plan for Colchester Borough.
View Neighbourhood Plans
These describe the distinctive characteristics of a locality and provide design guidance to ensure future development meets identified requirements and improves the physical qualities of an area.
In planning policy terms they have been superseded by Neighbourhood Plans.
